The Girls’ Golf team had a tremendous year, finishing in 4th place in the Northern Indiana Conference with a 9-3 record.
On top of their conference success, the girls finished runner-up in the Goshen Invitational to begin the season and finished third in the Sectional at the end. The top three teams from each Sectional advance to Regional competition. It was only the 2nd time (2017 was the other) since 2012 that the team was able to advance out of Sectional.
The team was led all year by its lone senior, Rosa Trippel. Rosa began the year strong with Medalist honors in the Goshen Invitational. She also was named Medalist in the Roshester and New Prairie Invitational. It was in Rochester where Rosa fired a 74, her low score for 18 on the year. In 9-hole competition, Trippel shot in the 30’s an amazing seven times. Rosa then ended the season with a 77 in the NIC tournament (good for 2nd place) and a 79 in the Sectional (good for 3rd place). She was recently named 1st Team All-NIC and named by the Indiana High School Golf Coaches Association as a member of the 2019 Girls’ All State Golf Team.
Also receiving individual honors is Alivia Weisser, who was named 2nd Team All-NIC. Alivia was steady all season long, including firing a season low 42 against Adams and New Prairie at Legacy Hills Golf Club. Her 95 at the Sectional helped the team advance to the Regional.
Congratulations to the team for all your accomplishments this year!
