Jason Fransted, a Marian graduate in the Class of 1996, was named the next Cross Country coach for the Knights this week. He replaces Peter Neidhart, who is moving to Chicago after teaching at Marian for three years, the last two where he served as Head Coach.
After a stellar athletic and academic career at Marian where he was named Captain and MVP of the Cross County team during his Senior year, Jason earned his B.S. in Exercise Science at Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis in 2002.
Fransted returned to Marian to assist the Cross Country program in 2009 before being named Cross Country and Track coach at Holy Cross College.
Jason has served as Training Program Coordinator for Fleet Feet Sports and is currently a Fitness Specialist/Personal Trainer at Beacon Health and Fitness.
