The Marian Knights Football team found out the steps it would need to take to claim its 3rd consecutive Sectional Championship over the weekend. Step one will involve a road trip to John Glenn High School on October 20th in a Week 2 rematch. The Knights were victorious that day by the score of 35-0 where big play offense and a stifling defense were the key ingredients.
A win against the Falcons in round one will set up a 2nd round match-up against the winner of Knox and Fairfield. If Knox, who currently has a 6-1 record wins, the Knights will take to road again. If Fairfield wins, we will host them on October 27th.
Sitting on the other side of the bracket are Jimtown, Peru, Tippecanoe Valley and Maconaquah. With two victories, the Knights will have the opportunity to take on one of these teams for the title on November 4th.
