Northridge edges Marian 1-0 in Middlebury

In a match up of top 15 ranked teams in the state, Northridge edged the knights on a goal with 20 minutes to play. Both teams created good chances in the first half without putting one away. Junior Megan Bullock had two good opportunities blocked and Senior Caroline Buaghman’s shot went high. Northridge had one quality attack that was ruled offsides.
Northridge created more changes in the second half but senior Hannah Harry-Shade along with the back line shut down the attack. With 20 minutes to play, Northridge midfielder striped a ball free and played a ball into their striker who placed a perfect shot over the hands of the keeper.
Marian was relentless with the attack and Junior Francie Hartnagel was virtually unstoppable tallying 4 shots on frame in the last 20 minutes including one off the post.

Marian is currently ranked 9th in the State 2A while Northside is ranked 15th in 3A
